  1. Who gets the profits?

Profits are returned to the four provincial shareholders -- $369 million in 2011-2012.

  2. What is Washer Toss?

Washer Toss is Atlantic Lottery’s first app; we recognize the popularity of mobile applications and of the Washer Toss game in Atlantic Canada so we decided to build on that.

The game is available on the App StoreSM (where millions of games and applications can be found) where Atlantic Canadian iPhone® and iPod Touch® users can download for free and there is no betting or wagering involved.

  3. Are lottery winnings taxable?

No. Atlantic Lottery winnings are tax free. However, we recommend you consult a tax expert about legal and tax issues.

  4. What happens to unclaimed prizes?

After one year, they go into an unclaimed prize fund and are returned to players in the form of prizes.

  5. What happens if I win a major prize?

  6. If part of a jackpot remains unclaimed, do the other winners split it?

Players are entitled to only their portion of the winnings. After the one-year expiry date is up, any remaining money goes to the unclaimed prize fund.

  7. When the jackpot is huge, why not offer several smaller prizes?

We now have a game that offers both big jackpots and smaller prizes! It’s a Friday night draw game called LOTTO MAX.

  8. What if I have forgotten my username or password?

If you have forgotten your username and/or password, just click on the Forgotten Username or Password link on the login screen. Once all required information is entered, an email will be sent to you.

By accepting the Terms and Conditions for alc.ca, players agree not to place orders for lottery products on alc.ca while physically located outside Atlantic Canada.
