2013

Atlantic Lottery becomes the first regulated lottery in Canada to offer award show bets.

Awards

Bronze CASSIE Award (Service category) for the AskAway campaign, presented by The Institute of Communication Agencies (ICA); Association des agences de publicité du Québec (AAPQ); and Association des professionnels de la communication et du marketing (APCM).

PEI Shellfish Festival awards Red Shores with the distinction of the Mott's Best Caesar in Town 

PEI Adapt Council awards Red Shores Top of the Park Chef Andrew Smith a 2nd place finish in their annual “Taste Our Island” contest. In addition to creating topnotch food, the Taste Our Island Award also raises awareness of the benefits and availability of local food on Prince Edward Island.

The Savor Food and Wine Show awards Red Shores the Best Dessert Award

An Excellence in Corporate Responsibility Award presented to Atlantic Lottery in recognition of its Employee Social Responsibility Certification program. The Awards recognize commitment to sustainable business.  

Designations

World Lotteries Association Responsible Gambling Framework Level 4 Re-certification which recognizes lotteries for their commitment and continuous improvement in Responsible Gaming. To qualify, Atlantic Lottery was evaluated on 10 program elements by a panel of experts from around the globe. Atlantic Lottery becomes just one of three lotteries in North America to be recertified. Recertification required every three years.

 

2012

Milestones

ShaBam launches, offering players both a draw and instant-win component.

Accomplishments

Atlantic Lottery becomes the first lottery in the world to launch an Employee Social Responsibility (SR) certification program.

Designations

Level 3 of Excellence Canada’s (former National Quality Institute’s) Progressive Excellence Program® (PEP®).  The designation means that Atlantic Lottery has systematically demonstrated the principles of excellence across the organization.

Responsible Gambling Council’s RG Check Accreditation at both Red Shores locations. The program offers gaming companies the opportunity of an independent endorsement of the quality of their responsible gambling safety net.

Awards

Gold Quill Award of Merit  (Electronic and Digital Communication – Management category) for Atlantic Lottery’s Responsible Gambling Retailer Training Program, presented by International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

Silver Leaf Award of Merit 
(Electronic and Digital Communication category) for Atlantic Lottery’s 2011-2012 Accountability Report, presented by International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

Award for Health and Wellness
, for excellence in incorporating health and wellness in the workplace, presented by Contact NB.

Marketing Award
(Out of House Small Scale Ambient category) for Atlantic Lottery’s UFC Scratch’N Win coaster, presented by Marketing Magazine.

Best Sports Betting Games Advertising Award (TV or Cinema) for the PRO•LINE Guys Campaign, presented by World Lotteries Association (WLA)

2011

Milestones

Atlantic Lottery launches AskAway.ca, our digital kitchen table in June. Content is fuelled by Atlantic Canadians who want to know more about us. 

Atlantic Lottery goes mobile, launching the free app, Washer Toss for iPhone and iPod touch in June.
 
In December, Atlantic Lottery rolls out its new sports platform at retail and online at https://prolinestadium.alc.ca/. Games available are: PRO∙LINE, PRO∙LINE FANTASY, PRO∙LINE FUTURES and an Internet-only offering called PRO∙LINE STADIUM BETS. Online users can also participate in consensus picks contests and on the new forums.

Designations

World Lottery Association Security Control Standard (WLA SCS) certification recognizing that Atlantic Lottery’s information security practices are world class. ISO27001 certification, which verifies information risk management strategies and processes, was a prerequisite to WLA SCS certification.

Awards

Canadian Forces Liaison Council’s Most Supportive Employer in New Brunswick Award for outstanding support to Canada’s Reserve Force.

Red Shores Chef Dave Mottershall wins the P.E.I Shellfish Festival challenge.

 

2010

Milestones

Harness Racing Prince Edward Island merges with Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park in March.

Designations

Michelle Carinci makes the list of Canada's Most Influential Women in Sport and Physical Activity by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity.

Awards

Pinnacle Award presented to Atlantic Lottery for efforts in the national public relations launch of LOTTO MAX, as well as the regional launch activities. Award presented by International Association of Business Communicators.

 

 

2009

Milestones

The Coasters brand is introduced to a number of video lottery sites in New Brunswick. Coasters offer more than just video lottery and offer patrons a mix of gaming products and entertainment.

After an extensive renovation, the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre reopens as Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park in August.

The Summerside Raceway is rebranded as Red Shores at Summerside Raceway in August.

LOTTO MAX replaces Lotto Super 7 as the national Friday night game in September.

Accomplishments

Atlantic Lottery gets into social media in conjunction with the Canada Games in August.



2008

Designations

World Lottery Association Responsible Gambling Framework Level III certification, which recognizes that Atlantic Lottery has a plan, a timetable and a budget to implement specific RG programs. Atlantic Lottery was the first lottery in the world to achieve this certification.



2007

Milestones

iBingo and Pick’n Click games introduced in PlaySphere in May.

Twist launches in June. The add-on game is available on LOTTO Super 7 tickets.

 

2006

Milestones

Bucko launches in February.

Accomplishments

Atlantic Lottery named one of the Top 10 Marketers that Matter in Canada for 2006 by Marketing Magazine.

Awards

Greater Moncton Excellence Award for Marketing, awarded annually by the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce.

The Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre (CDPEC) opens in August 2005.

Interactive games become available in PlaySphere in April 2005.

PlaySphere launches in August 2004, letting Atlantic Lottery players purchase draw and sport games over the
Internet. PlaySphere is the first regulated online gambling site in North America.

ATLANTIC 6/49 launches in November 2002. It can be played with LOTTO 6/49 or as a stand-alone game.

eClub Rewards launches in November 2002. The free online club offers promotions and special benefits.

Atlantic Lottery's corporate website goes live in June 1995.

PRO•LINE launches in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in September 1994. In October 1996, Newfoundland & Labrador begins offering PRO•LINE.

LOTTO Super 7 game launches in the Atlantic region in May 1994.

Video lottery goes live in New Brunswick and Newfoundland & Labrador in December 1990. Nova Scotia follows in May 1991 and Prince Edward Island in August 1991.

Breakopen tickets are introduced at retail in March 1990.

TAG, an add-on (spiel) game becomes available on LOTTO 6/49 and Pik 4 in May 1988.

Tic Tac Toe, the first scratch game is launched in November 1983.

LOTTO 6/49 becomes available in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland & Labrador in June 1982. In November 1983, LOTTO 6/49 launches in Prince Edward Island.

Atlantic Lottery is formed in September 1976. The first and only game offered at that time is is A-1, a $1 ticket sold in books of five, with a televised draw every two weeks.
